Hello everyone!  It's been awhile...

Hard to believe it's already late-December.

Today, I just finished up finals week at school and I'm very excited about having a couple weeks off.  It's the end of the first semester, and it has flown by.

Not really much has changed in the off-season.  I'm continuing my workouts at St. Vincent Sports Performance.  I really enjoy going to the gym and I always leave knowing I've gotten a good workout.  Sometimes it's tough just making it to the car afterwards.  Everyone at SVSP has been a huge help to me throughout my racing career and I can't thank them enough.

I'm also still playing bass and I'm having a blast.  I'm continuing with my lessons with Jon E. Gee...we've been jammin on some good Blues lately.  Also, I've been playing a lot at church...I will be playing in the Christmas Eve service, which I always enjoy.

Tomorrow is a big day for me...I get my license!  Everyone worries about me driving 90 mph through the neighborhoods because I'm a race car driver, but I can guarantee you that I won't be driving that fast unless I'm in the race car.  One thing racing has taught me is the responsibility that comes with being behind the wheel.

Speaking of race cars, we're still finalizing our program for next year.  We've got some exciting things happening on the sponsorship front and I feel like we will be able to connect all the dots in order to go racing come spring time.  I'll be sure to let you know when it's official.

The most recent edition in my racing life is the Welch Racing group on Facebook.  If you are on Facebook, just search "Welch Racing" and join my group.  I'm going to post every blog I write on the group page and I'm working on a way to let all the group members know how I finished in a race right after it happened.  So join the group, and support my racing program in yet another way!

Well, that about wraps it up for now.  Thanks for reading and have a wonderful holiday season!
